| We are moved in! |
Monday May 21st, 2007 08:45 PM |
Well, after a whirlwind six months, we are finally settling in and couldn't be happier! We enjoyed our stay with Dad & Carrie a lot, but are very happy to finally be in our home. I hope to take some updated pictures with us 'moved in' and add them to our website by the end of this week. In addition to unpacking boxes when we can, we've been really busy with work and even made a quick weekend trip to Massachusetts this month.
As you may have seen in the pictures, we went up to help celebrate our upcoming nephew ~ Kaiden William Boisjolie ~ with a Baby Shower. Nick (dad-to-be), Shirley (grandma-to-be), Liz (aunt-to-be), and myself had been secretly planning this baby shower since just after Christmas and we couldn't have been more pleased with how it turned out. We all enjoyed having everyone there to celebrate, and were very happy that most everyone could be there. The food was AWESOME too. Thanks boys!
We also were able to celebrate Grandma Schreiber's 96th birthday the same weekend (pictures posted), and I was able to spend some quality time with Darci. Darci & I went up to have dinner with the girls in New Hampshire (Lori & Karen), which is always fun! We even squeezed in a trip to Yankee Candle. All of this in 3 full days! Talk about maximizing your time!
Work has been great for both of us as well. Dave's been doing quite a few deals and is fitting in great at his new bank. Work has me busy for me to say the least, and I'm gearing up for a VERY busy summer! Good thing is I should have enough frequent flyer miles for a free ticket! I'm still very much enjoying it, which is good, and I couldn't ask for a better group of people to work with.
As you can see in the blog picture Dad & I had a VERY productive day at work this past weekend! I helped him this last Sunday grout 1000 sq ft of tile! (to view go to www.burktile.com and click on 'Recently Completed') This tile was the most unique thing I've ever seen. It looks like a hardwood floor, but is actually tile. The reason my white pants are red is because the grout we used was red, and lets just say my finger nails are still red! (try explaining that to executives) I'm still hurting from all the squating, but we had a blast! Hope you all are well. Lots of Love, Suzy, Dave, & The Zoo |

Howdy from Texas!!!
Lots of love to everyone out there! We sure miss you all and hope you are all doing fantastic! We will be closing on our house Monday and are so very excited. A big thanks goes out to my dad for all of his hard work installing all of the beautiful tile in our house. We are very Lucky! Big thanks to Ms. Carrie as well for her hard work and designing advice ~ it came in very handy! One more big thanks to my fabulous husband, Dave, as he installed the laminate flooring in the Office and Master Bedroom and did a great job even though he had never done it before. What did I do you ask? A lot of thanking! Unfortunately I've been traveling extensively over the past 6 weeks all over Texas, as well as to Bloomington, IL and St. Louis for work, so besides phoning in, helping squeeze a few sponges, and cleaning, I've been sort of the over the phone cheerleader. Go Team!
Next week is the big move so wish us luck. Luckily we have some great help from Dad & Carrie, and David & Holly are coming into help as well. THANK YOU!
Once we get settled, we'ld love to have you all visit! We have plenty of room so don't be shy! We are located roughly 30 minutes North of San Antonio and 45 minutes South of Austin. Plus we have the largest water park in the US, Schlitterbahn, in our town!
One more big event to report....Katja (my little Fox Terrier) is flying in tomorrow to rejoin her family and we couldn't be more excited! I haven't seen her since December, so I'm thrilled!
That's plenty for now. Take care and lots of love from Texas! |

| Our New Home |
Friday February 23rd, 2007 10:42 PM |
We hope you all are all doing fantastic! We are doing well. Dave just got a great job offer from Sterling Bank in San Antonio where he will be a Commercial Loan Analyst, and we also recently signed papers on our new house! It is currently under construction and will be ready the first part of April! The best part about the house is that when we found it, it was at the point where we were able to go in and pick out all of the lighting, stain colors, and flooring. Even better is that my dad is going to do all of the tile work!!
We won't know what to do with all of the added space and kitchen cupboards compared to our previous house in Massachusetts! I just added some recent pictures of our new house for you to enjoy! We'll post more as it gets completed. Take care and we miss you all! |
